The RPDND in-game economy is never going to be perfect but we do make tweaks to different aspects on occasion to make sure its always rotating money in and out so players can still make money and save it but also we can take steps to prevent excessively rich players.
Copper coins are our baseline coin. Meaning everything you see in-game from rent signs, chest shops, and npc shops will be written in copper format. Along with that if you do /balance in game your wealth will also be displayed as copper.
Swap between physical coins (for roleplay or trading with a DM) and virtual currency (for renting, shopping, etc) via the Misstivild Bank.
Exchange Worth:
1 Copper = 1 Copper
1 Silver = 10 Copper
1 Gold = 10 Silver or 100 copper
1 Platinum = 10 gold or 100 silver or 1000 copper
Trade packs are made for making some coin off of normally useless or less used items such as building blocks, fuel, low use lored items, and even just crafting normal items that never sell or sell one or two times. The goal with trade packs is not to give large sums of money but give less than you could make selling to a player but still worthwhile.
Trade pack payout is calculated by distance traveled. Each tradepack is randomly assigned a location to be delivered.
These are the types of trade packs available:
Local - Tradepacks that can be delivered within the central continent these are quicker but have a lower payout and no bonus pay for delivering.
Regional - Tradepacks that go across the map the various NPC cities such as Okatoro, Astrakane, and Drekavild. These packs have a higher payout and even bonus pay for the travel.
Server Tip: Use the /gps command to navigate quickly to each town without getting lost. At the tradepack stand there is a list of coordinates and which town it goes to.
Associations are a collection of guilds & players working under a government ran entity. The Association covers all branches underneath it. Associations are broken down into 6 branches. 2 of the branches are default and allow open activity and joining. You can assist any association you wish but can only choose one per week.
Associations do not require you to join a guild to take part in the activities for your branch. Guilds are strictly roleplay and meant as a fun way to coordinate or create new ideas and stories together..
You may also change your association week to week so it does not get boring.
On this page you will learn more about: Projects, Association Notes, Item Notes, and the types of association branches.
Primary Non-Quests Branches:
Adventurer: Focuses on uniting combat focused citizens (DM Events)
Community: Focuses on uniting the community through events such as festivals, parties, religious gatherings, and more. (Activities Planner Events)
Secondary Branches:
Mercenary: Like minded individuals who deep dive into dungeons and complete objectives. (Player initiated - Minecraft Mob/NPC Battles)
Artisan: Citizens who enjoy crafting various goods to sell. Always prepared with the tools you need.
Merchant: Citizens who deal in trading, selling, buying, auctions and more. They are master negotiators.
Scholars: Seekers of knowledge be in poems, lore, history, or riddles they are masters at knowledge and seek out new information all the time.
Association Quests are weekly tasks assigned by each branch representative and once completed earns yourself 1 magic note and a few coins (10 gold). You must complete 1 task to get the weekly rewards.
Mercenary is combat and deep dives into MC dungeons to fight mc mobs and collect loot from chests. They also may encounter an NPC boss to fight for a little extra coin if the item is collected.
Merchants focus on negotiation, resolutions, trade, buying, and selling this could be with NPCs, Players, or items found in special chests around the world.
Scholars take part in quizzes and must know lore, riddles, puzzles, history, and more to be able to pass them. Sometimes they can find NPC teachers who are knowledgeable in such subjects.
Artisan focuses on crafting quests and will usually require them to craft something fresh and new for the NPC (some old items may not be accepted).
Once a quest is completed it is on cooldown for 6 days and 23 hours allowing you to focus on other aspects of the server such as roleplay. Each quest is important to get gold and magic item notes.
Mercenary Dungeons can be outside of Misstiivild but all the other branches normally can be completed within Misstivild.
Look for the building above to go through Association Quests. NPCs will be either on the bottom floor & second floor. The blue dot is where /spawn is.
Step One: Go to the Association building in town and navigate to the desk where Alliisa resides. Speak with her to start the quest. Say Yes when accepting the quest to move to the next step
Step Two: Head outside to the noticeboard. Its on the right when you exit the building. Once there you can choose from the available Quests listed in the /bq scoreboard.
Step Three: Once you decide which quest you wish to do go back to Alliisa and select a sub-task for that quest. Each quest is made up of various parts called tasks. These tasks are themed to the branch.
Mercenary = Combat Based
Artisan = Crafting Based
Scholar = Knowledge Based
Merchant = Delivery/Shopping Based
Step Four: Select which task you want to do then go complete it. It is important you read the text in chat as it will give tips and other information about the quest to make it easier. Once you complete your quest return to Alliisa and enjoy your 10 gold and Item Note.
Tips & Tricks:
If you are dealing with numbers they are normally spelled out (unless otherwise stated in the quest) if they are low numbers but higher numbers like 12,000 may not be and will include a comma.
Ask for help from other members if you need help fighting something or doing a task. Always go prepared with your NON-D&D items. Take a shield, bow/arrows, and armor as needed.
Item notes are collected by players who have joined one of the four secondary associations. These notes are gathered through trade packs done on a weekly basis and should be saved to exchange for a random item down the road.
Magic Items are 10 randomly selected items that can be purchased each month. The cost of these magic items is based on its tier and requires a set number of Notes to exchange for them.
Common - 4 Item Notes
Uncommon - 8 Item Notes
Rare - 20 Item Notes
Very Rare - 32 Item Notes
You can catch and sell fish without ever talking to a player if you so choose. Addiitionally fishing has a chance to drop treasure boxes with rare materials or gold inside!
To sell fish you catch the better the weight on the fish the more money you will get back. Do /lfish sell to open the Fish Market GUI and toss your fish inside it will calculate how much copper you get back.
Farming can be done pretty quickly just requires some time and depending on what you grow you will get more money back for that Crop or Herb. Just note that some items may sell for more if sold to a player.
To sell farm goods do /lfarm sell to open the Farmer's Market GUI. Do note that farming does not depend on weight so you will always get a flat rate price for crops in the same category.
Sell minecraft skins or figura models in-game as a seamstress, tailor, or beautician! This gives you a way to earn IC coin for OOC work. Alternatively you can just set up a commission shop in the art channels!
We have a custom art plugin in-game that allows you to paint on a canvas and create new artworks. Spend sometime learning the plugin and making artistic pixel art and people may be jumping at the chance to purchase. You can do portraits, pixel art for items people need represented and more.
RPDND has a ton of materials and items. Consider making a goods shop once you uncover useful things to sell on the server. Such as materials for tradepacks or questlines. With our custom crafting you will have a variety of options for things to sell that people will buy.
