Raisable pets can be taken care of and eventually turned into a mount after a set amount of time and quest completion. Caring for a pet can lead to them growing up into a mount. If you decide you rather keep the pet then do not fret you can skip the quests and avoid raising them all together until you are ready.

These are considered casual pets/mounts meaning they can not be used in combat until you acquire a "Mount License."

Evolving Pets are gained from an egg and you do not know what will hatch from the egg when you open it! Eggs are hard to get and may be randomly found in the wilderness, resources, quests, etc. Look for "Eggs" playerheads on the ground, in trees, on buildings, etc. Then place the egg loot item in the crafting table to "hatch it" may require multiple attempts to hatch it. Maybe your egg prefers cold over heat.

Cold = Snowballs Item
Neutral = Water Bucket Item
Heat = Campfire Item
